God’s New Year

Exodus 12:1-2 - The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, “This month shall be to you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year to you."

Nisan 1 is the biblical new year, unlike January 1 in our secular Gregorian Calendar

Rosh Chodesh Nissan ― the first day of Nissan ― is one of the most significant days in Jewish history. It was then, in Egypt, that God gave the first mitzvah to the Jewish people ― the mitzvah of declaring the new moon and sanctifying the new month.

GIVE YOUR BEST TO THE LORD.

IF YOU ARE IN N I HOPE YOU CAN JOIN US APRIL 13th
UPTOWN CHARLOTTE TO OFFER UP A SACRIFICE OF PRAISE TO THE LORD & INTERCEDE FOR OUR CITY & COUNTRY TOGETHER.

WHY FIRST FRUITS?

Proverbs 3:9-10 says, “Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.” Give the best of what you received FIRST… before you spend it on anything else

When we choose to give Him the first of our time and increase, He sanctifies both our time and our finances. We also position ourselves to hear the revelation and receive the blessings that the LORD prepared for this time frame.

Firstfruits is different from the tithe and the offering of gifts. It’s not about a specific amount, but rather relative to the aspect of faith you’re operating in and what God is requiring of you for that time.

Many do not realize that the Firstfruits offering actually releases God’s best for us for the month ahead. When you present your Firstfruit offering at the beginning of each Hebrew month to the Lord, the whole lump gets blessed.

When you identify, set apart and present these offerings to the Lord, you acknowledge that your provision is from Him. Whatever He brought into your safe keeping, you have returned the best portion to Him. So from then on you will be able to multiply the rest. You are assured of multiplying 30, 60 or 100. You can’t decrease! In other words, you will be sustained, multiply, and accomplish God’s purpose in the earth realm.

As you listen to this read aloud today from chapter 14 of Dutch Sheets’ book The Company of His Pleasure, It’s my prayer is that you will be willing to give your most choice portion to the Lord and enter into the best He has for you. That you’ll spend lavishly and pour out your alabaster jar for the King of Kings.

If you are near Charlotte, NC you’re welcome to join us on the streets of Uptown on April 13th to release a sacrifice of praise with us. RSVP HERE
